Rare White Natural Pearl & Diamond Belle Epoque 'You & I' Ring

A Belle Époque natural pearl and diamond ring, set on 14ct yellow gold & platinum. A rare white natural pearl, measuring 6mm (1.21ct), twinned with a 0.85 ct diamond. This superb French design, with a gorgeous luminescent natural pearl is twinned with a large diamond 0.85ct The ring is also set with small roe cut diamonds measuring in total 0.13ct all with a lively sparkle. The term 'you & I' was coined by Napoleon, who designed this style for his everlasting love Josephine.  

This elegant ring is emblematic of the feminine and exquisite styles of the Belle Époque, or early twentieth century, when this piece was made. Toned back, monochromatic styles, which moved away from Victorian opulence for a more streamlined look. This ring would add elegance to any outfit and will be the perfect finishing touch for an evening ensemble.
