A pair of Edwardian natural pearl and diamond drop earrings. Each earring consists of a natural creamy white pearl, suspended from a halo of thirteen rose-cut diamonds, with a pear-drop shaped setting, encasing a larger rose-cut diamond and twinned smaller diamond, hanging from a line of two round-cut diamonds, all mounted on 18ct white gold. These earrings date from the early 1900s, the cluster measures approximately 1cm in diameter, the earring measuring approximately 3cm in height.
These earrings are incredibly rare, a showstopping design. Light and delicate, they were designed to move and sway with the lighter fashions of this period. A natural pearl with fine, luminous nacre, surrounded by a cluster of dazzling diamonds, catching the light beautifully.
